USC Jimmy Ivine and Andre Young Academy for Arts, Technology and the Business of Innovation
Well a lot of people had a lot to say this year both good and bad about the $70 million dollar donation to USC earlier 2013. $35 million by hip hop mogul Dr. Dre and $35 million chairman of Universal Music Group’s Interscope-Geffen-A&M Records Jimmy Iovine.
What many people didn’t know was “The duo’s gift will establish the USC Jimmy Iovine and Andre Young Academy for Arts, Technology and the Business of Innovation, an environment for those rare undergraduate students whose interests span fields such as marketing, business entrepreneurship, computer science and engineering, audio and visual design, and the arts. The program will prepare them to become a new generation of inspired innovators.”
What are your thoughts on this?
